Fruit Water – No More Mix-ins

fruit1 - Copy

I have seen several of these recipes online and wanted to create a few concoctions of my own. There are many claims as to what this water will do for you on top of what water and fruit already do for you. I am not sure if this is “vitamin water” or “detox water”, but I do know that we could all use more water and less sugary/saccharine drinks. We all know that too much sugar in fruit juices and soda is not good for us, but sometimes I just get so sick of drinking plain water all the time. Research is also starting to show that artificial sweeteners may actually contribute to diabetes. So that is where this recipe comes in, easy to make, no added sugar, less plain water all the time and helps me cut out drink add ins in honor of processed free October.

All the recipes can be adjusted to how big of a container you want to put the water in. I just refill the mason jars every time I pour from it. I will usually use the same fruit for a couple of days.

These are also great with soda water instead of plain water or boiled to make a tea.
