Playdate Workout- Part 1

The park is the perfect place to fit in some exercise. Your kids are playing and you are with your friends so take advantage of the amenities around you and get working out.  Remember to pay attention to good form and check for safety concerns around equipment before trying anything.  Also, don’t forget to pay attention to your kids,  they may even have fun joining in 😉

Sturdy benches or steps are a great place to do step ups and strengthen those glutes, hamstrings and quads.

Lunges are a great exercise to work glutes,hamstrings and quads. Doing them in the sand makes them a little bit more of a challenge by having to stabilize. Make sure sure to keep good form by not allowing your knees to go over your toes.

For cardio try finding some stairs. Ensure that stairs are safe to run on, dry and free of debris.








Finding workouts to do at parks are endless and I will be posting more ways to fit in exercises at park play dates later on. In the meantime, if you plan on starting an exercise program please speak to your physician or PT before you begin and please use common sense when doing exercises to avoid danger and injury.
